Ingredients

Cocktail Ingredients
  • 3 ounces Aperol Italian orange aperitif
  • 3 ounces dry prosecco Italian sparkling wine, chilled
  • 1 ounce club soda or unflavored sparkling water
  • 1 slice fresh orange for garnish
  • ice cubes to fill glass

Equipment

  • Wine glass

Method

  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice cubes until nearly full.
  2. Pour 3 ounces of Aperol over the ice (about one-third of the glass).
  3. Add 3 ounces of chilled dry prosecco to the glass.
  4. Top with a splash of club soda or sparkling water.
  5. Garnish with a fresh orange slice and serve immediately while bubbly.

Notes

Make it less bitter: Use 2 ounces Aperol instead of 3 and increase prosecco to 4 ounces.
Reduce alcohol content: Use more club soda and decrease both Aperol and prosecco proportionally.
Best results: Chill prosecco beforehand, use plenty of ice, and serve within 5 minutes of preparation for optimal carbonation.
