Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Serving Glasses

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh mango chunks (approx. 2 ripe mangoes)
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice (approx. 3-4 limes)
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar (to taste)
  • cup ice cubes
  • Kosher salt or chili lime seasoning (Optional for Rim)
  • Lime wedges and mango slices (Optional Garnish)

Instructions

  • Optional: Prepare glass rims by moistening with a lime wedge and dipping in salt or chili lime seasoning on a plate.
  • Combine mango chunks and lime juice and orange juice in a blender. Add agave nectar and ice cubes.
  • Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness (agave) or tanginess (lime juice) if desired. Blend briefly again if adjusted.
  • Pour into prepared glasses.
  • Garnish with lime wedges or mango slices, if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet mangoes (like Ataulfo or Kent if available) for the best flavor and texture.
  • Freshly squeezed lime juice provides the best authentic margarita tang.
  • Adjust agave nectar based on mango sweetness and personal preference – always taste!
  • Frozen mango can be substituted for a thicker, frostier texture (may need less ice or more liquid).
