Method
- Combine fresh mango chunks, pineapple juice, and lime juice in a blender.
- Blend on high speed until completely smooth.
- Add ice cubes to the blender.
- Blend again briefly until the ice is crushed and the mixture is chilled.
- Pour the mixture into serving glasses, filling about three-quarters full.
- Top each glass with chilled sparkling water or club soda.
- Garnish as desired (mango slice, lime wheel, mint) and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use ripe mango for the best natural sweetness.
- Adjust sweetness by adding a teaspoon of agave or simple syrup if needed, though usually unnecessary with ripe fruit.
- For a slushier texture, use frozen mango chunks and adjust ice accordingly.
- Store the blended fruit base (without ice or sparkling water) in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Add ice, blend, and top with fizz just before serving.
