Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring Cups & Spoons
  • Serving Glasses (2)
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Mango Chunks (from about 1 ripe mango)
  • ½ cup Fresh Orange Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Simple Syrup or Agave Nectar (Optional)
  • ½ cup Sparkling Water or Club Soda (Cold)
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes
  • Fresh Mint Sprigs or Lime Wedges or Thin Mango Slices Garnish (Optional)

Instructions

  • Put the fresh mango chunks and orange juice and lime juice in a blender. Add sweetener now if using.
  • Blend on high until its all smooth and creamy.
  • Taste it. Add more sweetener or lime juice if you think it needs it.
  • Fill two glasses about halfway with ice.
  • Pour the mango mix over the ice, filling glasses about ¾ full.
  • Top each glass with cold sparkling water or club soda.
  • Stir gently.
  • Add a garnish like mint or lime or mango slice if you want. Serve right away.

Notes

  • Use ripe mangoes for the best sweet flavor.
  • Add sweetener based on how sweet the mango is and how sweet you like drinks.
  • To make a pitcher: Multiply the ingredients. Blend the fruit base, keep it cold in the fridge. Add ice and sparkling water just before serving.
  • For a creamier drink, blend in some coconut milk instead of using sparkling water.
  • Add a little grenadine before the sparkling water for pretty layers (don't stir).
