Ingredients

Smoothie Base
  • 1 cup low-fat milk or almond milk for dairy-free
  • 1/2 cup strawberry Greek yogurt adds protein and creaminess
  • 1 whole frozen banana cut in chunks, natural sweetener
  • 1 1/2 cups strawberries fresh or frozen
Optional Add-ins
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey to taste, if needed for sweetness
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes for extra thickness and chill

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring Cups
  • Serving Glasses

Method

  1. Add the milk to your blender first. Starting with liquid helps everything blend smoothly.
  2. Add the strawberry Greek yogurt to the blender. This goes in before the frozen ingredients.
  3. Drop in the frozen banana chunks. Break them up into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  4. Add the strawberries last. Fresh or frozen both work perfectly for this recipe.
  5. Blend until completely smooth, usually 60-90 seconds. Stop and scrape sides if needed.
  6. Check consistency and add more milk gradually if the smoothie is too thick to blend properly.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding honey. Blend briefly to combine.
  8. Pour into glasses and serve immediately for best texture and temperature.

Notes

Storage Tips: Store leftover smoothie in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours in sealed jars. Blend again before serving as ingredients naturally separate.
Make-Ahead: Portion frozen fruit and banana chunks into freezer bags for quick smoothie packs throughout the week.
Customizations: Try adding protein powder, ground flax seeds, spinach for greens, or different berries for variety.
Dairy-Free Option: Use coconut milk or almond milk and dairy-free yogurt to make this completely dairy-free.
